President
Reagan Wentzel
Reagan is a part of the North Little Rock High School and the NLRHS Chess Club. Reagan took on the role as president for CAAS in 2023. Her goal is to help move chess forward with more opportunities for USCF rated tournaments, and to get more schools across the State of Arkansas to have chess programs.
Central Arkansas Representative
Shannon and Matt Jones
Shannon and Matt Jones are educators from the White County Central School District. They not only coach sports, but also help with chess, quiz bowl and other activities at their school. They are very personable people who help promote chess to younger students; finding several gems in the making.
NorthEast Arkansas Representative
Bryan Miller
Bryan is an educator and coach from Hoxie High School. He has a passion for chess, sports, and hunting. If you don't see him at a chess board, you can see him leading duck hunts. Bryan has been a member of the CAAS board for several years, and has once acted as president of the organization. Not only is he mentoring students, he also mentors the current president with his years of knowledge and experience.
NorthWest Arkansas Representative
Jerry Wells
As a GT coordinator at Eureka Springs School District, Jerry not only teaches chess, but is an active chess player in tournaments in Arkansas. He has spent several years as a part of CAAS, and is very passionate and knowledgeable about chess. Jerry helps host tournaments for CAAS, and is a key figure in growing the scholastic chess community.

Ryan Billingsley
Ryan is a nonprofit owner, whose sole purpose is to help support, fund, and promote chess on a scholastic level. He shows great insight and knowledge, as well as talented in chess. When you don't see Ryan at a chess tournament, you can find him at his bookstore in NW Arkansas.
